This past November I was asked to speak on "Building a Culture of Ministerial Health" to the pastors of the US North Atlantic Acts 29 Network. It was a privilege to encourage my brothers to plant churches and shape leadership cultures in such a way that will care for them along the way. We learned so much in planting Jacob's Well. Some by heading the wisdom of others and some by "learning the hard way."
This spring some leaders with Acts 29 central asked if I would take some of that content and turn it into a blog post. That essay hit the web yesterday. If you are a church planter or member of a church leadership team I encourage you to think about this issue early and often. How do you care for the planter, pastors and leaders of a church? How can you encourage them? How can you live a gospel centered life with them? How can you build a culture of gracious accountability and life giving community at your church? Selah, pause, just think about this a bit as you continue forward in the church planting journey.
Here is a link to the essay and I do pray it might be of practical help to you, your church community and her leaders. Shaping a Culture of Ministerial Health
